"A wish for Megan"

This organisation has been formed to raise money in order to purchase specialist therapy equipment, not funded by the NHS, but vitally important for Megan's quest to walk with her peers.

Our current aim is to purchase a mobility scooter/chair to allow Megan more independence while on longer trips out.  Megan is more than capable of propelling herself in her manual wheelchair, however on longer trips or uneven surfaces she tires easily and needs assistance from an adult.  We would like Megan to be in total control of her mobility and feel this piece of equipment will make a huge difference to the way we as a family go about our day to day life.

At this stage we are researching the options open to us and looking into the costing of it all.  A mobility scooter (at approximately £3,000) will lead to the need for better access for Megan onto our driveway and storage space to safely keep such an expensive aid. 

There will be a whole range of equipment that Megan requires as she grows.

Equipment will very quickly become too small and her capabilities will improve and further funding will need to be sourced to purchase these upgrades.

Our organisation aims to provide for Megan's future without the need for her to compromise on her physical abilities.
